What an EVOO Meet-up is

An EVOO Meet-up is an informal gathering of friends and colleagues at a home or place of business where participants taste Extra Virgin Olive Oils, discuss them, learn from each other, and rate them in EVOO. (Android & Apple stores) Formats vary but typically each participant (or couple or pair) brings one bottle of evoo for the group to experience.

To date, 11 EVOO Meet-ups have occurred in five countries including: Spain, Türkiye, Lebanon, Tunisia and Canada.

Why host an EVOO Meet-up

In many ways the olive oil industry resembles the coffee industry 30 years ago. With the concept of an early harvest (or “first pressed”) as a regular practice that is only about 20 years in existence, olive oil can be experienced in the same way that someone may recognize aromatic and gastronomical qualities (tasting notes) in coffee or wine. And by hosting an EVOO Meet-up you will be a bona fide Early Adopter in the industry who is actively contributing to the growth of the industry and the health of your community.

They are fun & healthy! EVOO Meet-ups are a great way to socialize with those in your community, learn about the fascinating world of Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and contribute to your health and the health of those around you.

Getting started

If you wish to host a sanctioned EVOO Meet-up, you will get additional support from EVOO. (including publicity) To host an event, please contact us via the Support form in the EVOO App.
